FRIENDS OF MARSHA PHOENIX

This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 7 June 2017. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does

The Friends of Marsha Phoenix is registered to ensure that the Marsha Phoenix Memorial Trust's building, which provides housing for young homeless women, is kept in good repair and that basic services for the women are maintained. The aim is to ensure that the young women receive housing, care, education and support from which they can develop self respect, independence and purpose in their lives.

In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.

About this record

From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
