LOWER BEBINGTON SCHOOL LANDS FOUNDATION

This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 8 November 2018. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does

The charity, founded in 1654 by Thomas Green, makes small grants to individuals in university or other higher education, who reside in the area of the parish of St Andrews, Lower Bebington, as it was in 1924. (owing to poor drafting when state education was introduced it cannot be adjusted to suit the current boundary, but see the Poulton Lancelyn Lands Foundation (1998) which covers omitted areas

In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.

About this record

From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
